Anticipating problems is a key aspect of a consultant’s job. Since the client is always right (as I will highlight in the last lesson of this series), it is our responsibility to foresee and address potential issues before they surface or escalate. However, it is equally crucial not to raise false alarms. This series of articles is a prime example of a key principle I’ve learned: Show your work. I had been wanting to write for a long time because I had something valuable to share, yet I kept postponing it — largely due to the fear of not being “perfect” at it. However, once I embraced the idea that perfection isn’t necessary, I found it much easier to put my work out there.
